DBMC 2023 is the 16th edition of a prestigious series of international conferences dedicated to the durability of concrete building materials and composites. This event covers a wide range of relevant topics such as innovative materials, smart construction methods, climate change adaptation and resilience, life cycle engineering, historical heritage and monuments, as well as issues related to specifications and standards, testing and modeling, assessment and practical applications, and measures and mechanisms.
This year’s conference was held at the Liaoning International Hotel in Beijing, China, and was organized by the School of Civil Engineering of Tsinghua College in collaboration with supporting organizations and institutions.
We are pleased to report that our PhD students, Branka and Katarina, actively participated in the conference by presenting their papers “Influence of Waste Fibres on the Total Porosity of Cementitious Composites” and “Influence of Alkali- Resistant Glass Fibres Distribution on Properties of Cementitious Composites”.
Detailed abstracts of all papers were published in an abstract book, while the full papers were summarized in an official conference proceedings available in an open access journal, accessible via the link provided.
Furthermore, we are delighted to announce that Branka Mrduljaš’s poster was awarded the prize for the best poster presentation at the XVI DBMC conference.
